NextPrep in brief

What is NextPrep?

NextPrep is an independent NEET PG practice and revision platform. It has a question bank that explains every option, spaced-repetition flashcards, mnemonics, timed tests and analytics. It is not a video course.

Who is it for?

Medical graduates preparing for NEET PG in India. The same subject bank also powers INI-CET-style and FMGE-style mock series (FMGE mocks have two parts of 150 and a pass-line tracker). Those formats are as reported by public sources, so confirm them in the official brochure or bulletin.

Where should I start?

Take the free 20-question assessment. It needs no sign-up and gives you a read on your starting point and a first step. After that, a short practice set or the flashcards due today is enough.

Can I try the question experience before signing up?

Yes. The home page has a sample question you can answer and read the explanation for, and nothing you do there is recorded. The assessment and the public question pages need no account either.

Who writes the questions, and have experts reviewed them?

The questions, cards and mnemonics are original. They are drafted with AI assistance and edited by the NextPrep team. Independent faculty review is planned but not done yet, and each item shows a status label.

Are these real NEET PG questions?

No. NextPrep has no previous-year or recalled papers, and we do not use them. NBEMS does not publish its paper or an answer key, and it has warned against circulating recalled questions.

Is NextPrep affiliated with NBEMS or the NMC?

No. NextPrep is independent and has no access to the real papers. Always confirm exam details in the official information bulletin.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, in the browser you use. There are no cloud accounts yet, so clearing browser data clears your progress and it does not follow you to another device. Accounts that sync are planned.

What does it cost?

The assessment is free, and the free plan has a daily allowance of practice and a few complete areas. Full access is sold in fixed terms of 6 weeks, 3, 6 or 9 months. See the pricing page for the current terms.

Will NextPrep improve my rank?

We cannot promise a rank, score or selection, and nobody honestly can. NextPrep gives you practice that explains itself and numbers that show your own progress.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It is designed phone-first, so practice, flashcards and tests work on a small screen as well as on a laptop.

Pricing and plans

Can I pay with UPI, cards or net banking?

For now, plans are bought by email: send a request from this page and we reply with how to pay. When online payments are enabled, checkout is handled by Razorpay, which supports UPI, cards, net banking and wallets. NextPrep never sees or stores your card or bank details.

How does buying with friends work?

Two to five of you buy together and each pay a smaller share: 3 friends 5% off, 4 friends 8% off, 5 friends 10% off. Everyone gets their own full access and their own progress, because study data lives on each person's own device. Send one request from the pricing page and we reply by email with how to pay.

Is there a student or intern discount?

Not at the moment. We would like to offer one and are working out what is fair. Tell us through the contact page what would help.

Why are there no monthly plans?

NEET PG preparation runs towards an exam date, not a calendar month, so access is sold as a fixed term. You pay once and nothing renews on its own.

Which terms are available?

6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 9 months, from ₹1,699 to ₹5,199. The amounts include GST, and the pricing page always shows the current price of each.

How do I choose a term?

Pick the shortest term that covers your exam date with a week to spare. The date picker on the pricing page suggests one. If you are starting early with weak basics, a longer term is usually kinder.

Is anything on sale right now?

That depends on the mode the site is running in, and the note near the top of the pricing page says which. When paid terms open, checkout will go through Razorpay. Until then you can join the waitlist, and the free plan stays open.

What is included on the free plan?

The free 20-question assessment, 20 practice questions a day, flashcard decks for Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry, 5 mnemonics, the 3 matching subject tests, basic analytics and 10 bookmarks. Every explanation is open to everyone.

What do paid terms add?

Every paid term opens the whole question bank, all decks and mnemonics, all subject and stage tests, full analytics and unlimited bookmarks. Longer terms add more grand mocks (1 with 6 weeks, 2 with 3 months, and all of them with 6 months or 9 months), and 6 and 9 months also get new tests released during the term. The pricing page has a table generated from the same limits the app uses.

Does the term renew automatically?

No. Each term is one payment and there is nothing to cancel. If you want to continue, you buy again.

What if I buy while a term is still running?

Terms stack end to end. The new term starts when the current one ends, so no paid days are lost.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. A learner on the free plan can start one 3-day trial from the dashboard, with no card and no payment details. It opens 100 practice questions a day, every flashcard deck and mnemonic, every subject test, the stage tests and 1 grand mock. It is one trial per device, and when it ends you return to the free plan with your progress kept.

What happens when a term ends?

You return to the free plan. Your history, bookmarks up to the free limit and cards you have studied stay on your device, and the assessment stays free.

Is GST included, and do I get an invoice?

Yes. Prices include 18% GST and checkout shows the split. Each payment gets a receipt with an invoice number that you can print or save as PDF from the plan and billing screen. For now it is a receipt, not a full GST tax invoice.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 7 days of buying a term, as long as you have not used it heavily. The refund page has the exact terms.

Do you offer video lectures?

No. NextPrep is for practice and revision alongside your own lectures or books.

Features

What makes the question bank different?

Every question explains why the right answer is right and why each other option is wrong, so a wrong answer teaches you something. Wrong answers feed your next set, and mistakes feed your flashcards and recommendations.

How do flashcards work?

Cards return on a schedule: soon when you struggled, later when you knew them. Rate each card from Again to Easy, swipe or tap, and undo a mistaken rating. Cram mode lets you go through a deck without changing the schedule.

Do mnemonics help, or mislead?

Both can happen, which is why each mnemonic on NextPrep shows what every part stands for, how it is used clinically and where it stops being reliable.

Can I take timed tests?

Yes. Subject tests, stage tests and grand mocks run under a countdown with a question palette and mark-for-review, like a computer-based test. They are NextPrep practice papers, not official papers.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. NextPrep is designed for phones first, then tablets and laptops. Tests, flashcards and practice are built for one-handed use.

What is free?

The 20-question assessment, 20 practice questions a day, three complete subjects (Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry), 5 mnemonics and overall analytics. Every explanation is open to everyone.

Is there a video course?

No, by choice. NextPrep is a practice and revision platform, so it sits beside whichever lectures or books you already use.

Can I choose what to practise?

Yes. You can filter by subject and topic, and by all, unseen, missed or bookmarked questions. You can also choose tutor mode, which shows the explanation straight away, or a timed mode.

What can I do with a question besides answer it?

You can bookmark it, add a private note and report a problem with it. Bookmarks and notes are stored on your device.

Does NextPrep predict my rank?

No. The analytics describe your own practice, with the number of attempts shown beside every percentage. They are not a prediction of any result.

Does NextPrep change what it shows for my aim?

Yes, a little. At setup you pick Medical PG, FMGE, Super Speciality, Residency or MBBS 1st Professional, and that decides which test series are listed first, the mix of recall and application questions in quick sets, and the suggested daily goal. The weights are our editorial choices, not an official blueprint, and Super Speciality and Residency have no speciality-specific question sets yet.

Is there a daily routine built in?

There is a gentle one. Flashcards due today, a five-question quick set and an occasional timed test are enough, and nothing forces a schedule on you.

About NextPrep

Who is behind NextPrep?

A small founding team, building independently. We have not published founders' or reviewers' names yet, and the legal entity and registered address will be listed on the legal page before launch. We are not affiliated with NBEMS, the NMC or any examination authority, and we don't have access to the real papers.

Who writes the questions?

Today the questions, explanations, flashcards and guides are original material drafted with AI assistance and edited by our team. They have not yet been independently reviewed by medical faculty, and we say so on the pages that matter. The editorial policy explains how this will change.

Is NextPrep video-based?

No. We deliberately do not make video lectures. NextPrep is a practice and revision platform that works alongside whichever lectures or books you already use.

Why should I trust it?

You shouldn't have to take our word. Every answer shows its reasoning, including why each wrong option is wrong. We show sample sizes beside percentages, we publish what is not finished, and we make no promises about rank.

Why did you start NextPrep?

Preparation tends to be a pile of questions in several apps. We wanted one place built around the loop that matters: practise, understand, revise, measure and improve.

What is the editorial status of the content?

Each item carries an editorial status. Independent sign-off is shown only when it has been recorded against that item.

What will you never do?

We won't promise a rank or a seat, show testimonials or user counts we can't back up, claim any link to an examination authority, sell your data or run advertising trackers.

Does NextPrep use AI?

Yes, to help draft content, and people on our team decide what is published. AI-drafted medical text can be wrong while sounding confident, which is why we ask you to check important facts in standard textbooks.

Where is my data kept?

Your progress is stored in your own browser. There are no cloud accounts yet. The privacy policy lists exactly what reaches us, such as a newsletter email or a contact message.

How can I tell you something is wrong?

Use the Report a problem control under any question, or write through the contact page. We would rather fix a mistake than defend it.

Are you hiring faculty reviewers?

We plan to work with named, credentialed faculty for review, and will publish their names with their consent. If you would like to be considered, write to us through the contact page.

Free assessment

How long is it and what does it cost?

Twenty questions, one from each subject, about 25 minutes. It is free and needs no sign-up or card.

Will it predict my rank?

No. Twenty questions are far too few to predict anything. It gives an honest read on your starting point and a sensible first step.

Can I retake it?

Yes, after a few weeks. Your last report is kept on your device.

Are the explanations free too?

Yes. After you submit, you can read why each option is right or wrong, for every question.

What does the report show?

How you did overall and by subject, with the number of questions behind each figure, a first-week plan and the reasoning for every option. With so few questions per subject, read it as a starting point and not a verdict.

Is it the same twenty questions for everyone?

Yes. It is a fixed set, so results are comparable when you retake it later. The questions are original NextPrep practice items and not from any real paper.

Does it look like the real exam?

It uses a computer-based test layout with a timer and a question palette, which is a similar way of working. The real paper's length and marking are set by NBEMS, so confirm them in the bulletin.

Do I need an account to take it?

No. You can start straight away. Your result is kept in your browser on this device.

Can I print or share my report?

The report can be printed, and there is a way to share a summary. Share only what you are comfortable with, since it describes your own answers.

Does the assessment count towards my free daily questions?

No. The assessment and timed tests do not count towards the 20 practice questions a day on the free plan.

Is it enough to plan my whole preparation?

No. It is a snapshot. As you practise more, the performance screen gives a more reliable picture, and we do not call a subject strong or weak on fewer than five attempts.

NEET PG syllabus

Is this the official syllabus?

No. It is our plain-language overview of the 20 subjects medical graduates are assessed on. For the authoritative scope, read the official information bulletin and the NMC's curriculum documents.

Do you say how many questions come from each subject?

No. Published weightage figures disagree and we cannot verify them, so we don't state any. Your own practice data is a more reliable guide.

Are the sample questions real exam questions?

No. They are original practice questions. NextPrep does not use recalled or memory-based exam questions.

How many subjects are there?

20 in our subject list. 3 are pre-clinical (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry), 5 are para-clinical and 12 are clinical, which include Medicine, Surgery, OBG and Paediatrics. The grouping is as commonly published, so confirm it in the bulletin.

Which subject should I start with?

That depends on your base and your time. The free assessment gives a first read, and the performance screen later shows where your practice needs work. We do not claim any subject is more important than another.

Does the syllabus change?

It can, and so can the pattern. Always check the current bulletin and the NMC curriculum. We update our pages when we learn of a change and show the date.

Can I practise by topic?

Yes. In the app you can filter practice by subject and topic. The public question pages are organised by subject.

Does NextPrep cover every topic?

Not yet. The bank is growing and we do not claim full coverage. We would rather say what exists than imply that everything does.

Is this syllabus the same for FMGE?

Both exams draw on the same broad subjects, but they are different exams with different formats. Read the FMGE pattern page and the official bulletin for yours.

Where can I find the original curriculum?

On the official NMC and NBEMS websites. Our overview points you there and does not replace them.

Counselling by state

Is this official counselling information?

No. It is a plain-language guide that points you to official portals. Rules, dates and documents change every cycle, so always confirm on the official site.

Why isn't there a page for every state with seat details?

Because we can't yet verify that data from each state's own publication, and thin, near-identical state pages help nobody. We add a state page when we can fill it with verified, dated information.

Why do lists of state authorities disagree?

Sources differ and portals change. We mark each entry as commonly listed, disputed or unverified, and link to the place to check.

What is the difference between all-India and state counselling?

The Medical Counselling Committee runs counselling for the 50% all-India quota seats, plus central universities and certain central institutions. Each state runs its own counselling for state quota seats. Confirm the rules for your cycle.

Do I need to belong to a state to get a seat there?

For state quota seats, usually yes, since most states apply domicile or residence rules that differ from state to state. The all-India quota is open to eligible candidates from any state.

Can I take part in both processes?

They are generally separate, with separate registrations, but the rules on holding or leaving a seat in each differ. Read them before you register.

Where do I find real dates and seat lists?

On the MCC website for the all-India process and your state's official portal for the state process. Third-party lists, including ours, can be out of date.

What should I confirm for my state every year?

The authority and its website, domicile rules, reservation categories and certificate formats, the seat matrix with fees and bond conditions, the registration and choice-filling dates, and the rules on resignation.

Does the state finder cover every state and union territory?

It lists all 36 states and UTs. For many, the authority is left blank or marked disputed because we could not verify it.

Can you tell me which seat I will get?

No. Allotment depends on rank, category, choices and each cycle's rules. We make no promises about ranks or seats.

Study guides

Who writes the study guides?

The NextPrep editorial team. They are drafted with AI assistance, edited for plain language and accuracy, and not yet reviewed by independent medical faculty. See the editorial policy.

Are the guides medical advice?

No. They are exam-preparation guides. Exam-oriented answers are simplified and are not clinical guidance.

How often are guides updated?

When facts change, such as exam patterns or counselling rules, we update the guide and show the date. Always confirm exam details in the official bulletin.

Can I suggest a topic or report a mistake?

Yes, please use the contact page. Corrections are welcome and will be recorded.

What topics do the guides cover?

Planning, memory, learning from wrong answers, sitting a long paper and choosing resources. Each is meant to take about ten minutes to read and to end with something you can do the next day.

Do the guides include past papers?

No. NextPrep has no previous-year or recalled papers, because NBEMS does not publish them and has warned against circulating recalled questions. The guides explain how to use pattern information responsibly.

Can I follow new guides without visiting the site?

There is an RSS feed for new guides. You can also join the newsletter, which only sends news about terms, questions and launch.

Do the guides promise results?

No. They describe habits that many learners find useful, and we do not promise a rank or score from following them.

Can I share or quote a guide?

Please link to it. If you quote briefly, credit NextPrep. Copying whole guides or reselling them is not allowed under the terms of use.

Why do some guides say a fact is disputed?

Because public sources sometimes disagree and the official bulletin is the only source of record. We would rather mark a figure as unconfirmed than state it with false certainty.

Contact

How fast will you reply?

We aim to reply within a few working days. Payment problems are handled first.

I was charged but my term didn't start. What do I do?

Write to us with your payment id and the email you used. Where a payment truly failed, the money normally returns to your account automatically. We refund confirmed duplicate charges in full.

How do I report an error in a question?

Use the report button in a question, or write to us here with the question and what you think is wrong. We'd much rather fix it than defend it.

Can I apply for the affiliate or creator programme here?

Yes, use the application form on the partner programmes page.

How do I see, correct or delete the data you hold about me?

Choose the privacy topic on the contact form. Your study progress lives in your browser, so you can also download or erase it yourself in Settings.

Can I ask for a refund through this form?

Yes. Include the email you paid with and your invoice number from the plan and billing screen. Refund requests are judged under the refund policy, which allows a request within 7 days of buying a term.

Can you send me recalled or past-year questions, or can I send you some?

No on both counts. NextPrep does not collect or publish recalled questions, and if someone sends them we do not use them.

I found a problem using the site with a screen reader or on a small screen. Who do I tell?

Write to us and say what device and assistive technology you use. We treat accessibility problems as bugs.

Do you have a phone number or live chat?

The contact form is how to reach us. A person reads it, and we keep the replies plain.

Can I contact you about press or partnerships?

Yes. Choose the relevant topic. For logos and verified facts, the press page has what you need.

Partner programmes

Who can join?

Educators, mentors, student groups, community admins and creators who can reach NEET PG aspirants honestly. We review each application and reply within a few working days.

How much do partners earn?

Affiliates earn 5% and creators 7% of the sale value excluding GST on each term bought through their link. These are launch rates. Learner referrals reward access time, not cash.

What can partners say about NextPrep?

Accurate things only. No rank promises, no invented results, no claims of affiliation with any examination authority, and clear disclosure that links are partner links.

When are partners paid?

Payouts begin when paid terms go on sale. A sale is payable 14 days after purchase, which is after the refund window, and paid monthly once the balance reaches ₹1,000. Details are in the partner terms.

What is the difference between affiliate, creator and referral?

Affiliates and creators apply and earn a share of sales. Creators earn more and also get access benefits, with stricter claims review. Referral is for learners and rewards extra weeks of access instead of money.

How does tracking work?

A link carries a partner code. Your browser remembers the most recent valid code for 30 days, and a later purchase can credit that partner. Clearing browser data or switching device can lose it.

Are purchases credited right now?

Not until paid terms are live. Preview-mode purchases are not attributed, and there is no partner dashboard yet. Until volume justifies one, we reconcile payouts monthly by hand.

Can I buy through my own link?

No. Self-referral and purchases by the same person are excluded in the terms, and we check at reconciliation.

What is not allowed?

Coupon sites, bidding on the NextPrep brand, cookie stuffing, fake reviews and any use of recalled exam questions. Breaches can pause payouts and end the partnership.

Do I need to disclose that I earn from a link?

Yes. Say so plainly, near the link and in your content's language, for example that it is a partner link and you earn a share if people buy.

How do I apply?

Use the application form on the partner programmes page. It asks about your audience and past content, and we reply within a few working days.

Flashcards and mnemonics

How many cards should I do a day?

Do the cards that are due first. New cards are capped each day so reviews never pile up. Ten to twenty minutes a day beats a long weekly session.

What if I fall behind?

Nothing is lost. Due cards wait for you, and the app schedules them gently so one missed week doesn't become a wall.

Can I use mnemonics for everything?

No. Use them for short lists. For mechanisms and exceptions, understanding beats a memory aid, and each of our mnemonics lists where it stops working.

Which flashcard decks are free?

Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry on the free plan. Every deck opens on a paid term, and the pricing page lists what each plan includes.

Can I study the cards on these public pages?

These pages are for reading and previewing. Studying with spaced repetition happens in the app, where cards return on a schedule.

What do Again, Hard, Good and Easy mean?

They tell the app how well you recalled the card. Again and Hard bring it back sooner, and Good and Easy push it further out. You can swipe or use keys 1 to 4, and undo a rating you got wrong.

What is cram mode?

A way to run through a deck without changing your schedule. It suits a quick revision the night before, without disturbing the intervals you have built.

Are the cards checked by experts?

Not yet. They are original and drafted with AI assistance, then edited by our team. Independent review is planned, and each card carries a status label.

Why one idea per card?

A card that tests one fact is easier to rate honestly, so the schedule works better. Long cards with several facts hide what you actually forgot.

Where is my card schedule stored?

In your browser on this device. Clearing browser data erases it, so use the download option in Settings if you want a copy.

Practice questions

Why does every question explain the wrong options?

Because the wrong options are where the exam hides its distinctions. Reading why each one fails teaches four ideas from one question.

Can I practise these in a timed test?

Yes. The same questions power the subject tests, stage tests and mocks inside the app, with a countdown and a palette.

Have the questions been reviewed by faculty?

Not yet. They are original and drafted with AI assistance, then edited by our team. Our editorial policy explains the review plan, so confirm important facts in a standard textbook.

Is my answer recorded when I try a question on these pages?

No. The public pages are for reading and trying. To have attempts saved and fed into your next set, practise inside the app.

How are the questions organised?

By the 20 subjects, with a page for each subject and a page for each question. Inside the app you can also filter by topic.

What does the status label on a question mean?

It shows where the item stands in our editorial process, such as sample, draft or in review. Nothing is labelled as independently reviewed yet.

How do I report a wrong answer?

Use the Report a problem control on the question, and write through the contact page with the details if you want a reply. Corrections are versioned so the change is visible.

Do you have previous-year questions?

No. NBEMS publishes no question paper or answer key, and recalled papers are unofficial. We write fresh questions on commonly assessed concepts instead.

How many questions can I do for free?

In the app, 20 practice questions a day on the free plan, plus the 20-question assessment. Reading the explanations is always free.

Mnemonics

Do mnemonics really help for NEET PG?

They help with lists and sequences that have no logic to hang on, such as cranial nerve function. They do not replace understanding, and a mnemonic for a fact you could reason out is a distraction.

Why do you show the limits of each mnemonic?

Because every mnemonic simplifies. Knowing where it stops working keeps you from applying it where it misleads.

Where do the mnemonics come from?

They are teaching aids written or adapted by our team. Some resemble ones students share informally. Check any fact that matters against a standard source.

Are they reviewed by experts?

Not yet. Independent faculty review is planned, and each mnemonic carries a status label.

What does each mnemonic page show?

What every letter or part stands for, how it is used in the clinic and where it stops being reliable.

Which mnemonics are free?

5 in the app on the free plan, and all of them on a paid term. The public pages let you read what is published.

Can I search for a mnemonic?

Yes. In the app you can search and filter by subject. These public pages are organised by subject and topic.

Should I make my own mnemonics?

Often yes. A memory aid you build yourself tends to stick better. Test it against the facts, and note where it breaks.

Can I turn a mnemonic into a flashcard?

NextPrep does not do that automatically. You can revise the same ideas in the flashcard decks, where cards come back on a schedule.

Study plans

Which study plan should I pick?

Count the weeks you really have, subtract a buffer, and choose the term that fits. If you are between two, pick the longer one and let the plan breathe.

Do these plans guarantee a rank?

No. Nothing honest can. They describe a repeatable shape: practice most days, review mistakes, revise on a schedule and sit timed papers.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. Terms stack, so you can extend later. The pricing page explains how.

What if I work night duties or have a job?

The plans are meant for busy people, not a perfect timetable. Short, regular sessions and a quick set on a bad day count more than a heroic weekend you cannot repeat.

Is the plan personalised?

The four plans, one for each runway, are the same for everyone. What the app leads with does depend on the aim you chose at setup, and the performance screen helps you adjust within a plan.

What if I fall behind the plan?

Skip forward to the current week and keep the review habit rather than trying to catch up on everything. Cards due and missed questions will wait for you.

When should I start timed mocks?

Once you have some coverage of the subjects, a full-length paper under a countdown shows pacing as well as accuracy. Stage tests and grand mocks need a paid term, while the 3 free subject tests (Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry) are open to everyone.

Do the plans need a paid term?

No. You can read the plans for free and follow them with the free plan's limits. A paid term simply removes the daily question cap and opens everything.

How do I choose between a 6-week and a 3-month plan?

A shorter plan suits a built base and a need for focused practice. A longer one suits weaker basics or less time per day. The date picker on the pricing page suggests a term from your exam date.

Do the plans replace my lectures?

No. They assume you are learning from your own lectures or books and describe how to practise and revise around that.

Tools and calculators

Are the calculators accurate for the real paper?

They do arithmetic on the numbers you enter. The format changes between cycles, so confirm questions, minutes and marking in the official bulletin and edit the defaults.

Do the tools save my data?

No. The tools run in your browser and store nothing.

What tools are there?

A pacing and marks calculator, which shows seconds per question and a practice score with negative marking, and a study-time tool that turns hours into a question budget.

What marking scheme do the defaults use?

Plus four for a correct answer, minus one for a wrong one and zero for unanswered, which is as reported for recent cycles. You can change every number.

How do I use the pacing tool?

Enter the number of questions, the minutes and a buffer smaller than the total time. It shows time per question on the first pass.

Will the study-time tool plan my preparation?

It gives a rough budget of hours and questions for the weeks you have. It does not know your base, so treat it as a sanity check.

Do I need an account?

No. The tools need no sign-up.

Can the marks calculator predict my result?

No. It converts counts of right and wrong answers into a practice score and says nothing about rank or selection.

Can I use it for FMGE?

Yes, by changing the numbers, since FMGE reportedly has no negative marking. Check the official bulletin for the figures before you rely on them.

Resources

What is on this page?

A single place for everything free we publish: practice questions, flashcards, mnemonics, study plans, calculators, syllabus and counselling guides, exam pattern pages and articles.

Do I need to sign up to read these?

No. These pages are free to read and the assessment needs no sign-up. The app has a free plan and four paid terms.

Where should a new user start?

Take the free assessment to find your starting point, then read the study plan that matches the weeks you have.

Are the resources official?

No. They are our plain-language guides. NextPrep is independent and not affiliated with NBEMS or the NMC, so confirm exam details in the official bulletin.

Do you have previous-year papers here?

No. NBEMS does not publish papers or keys, so what circulates is recalled and unofficial. We do not host it. See the questions pages for original practice instead.

How are the exam pattern and counselling pages kept up to date?

They show a last-checked date and mark what is confirmed and what is disputed. When the official bulletin differs, the bulletin wins.

Is the content reviewed by experts?

The questions, cards and guides are drafted with AI assistance and edited by our team. Independent review is planned, not done.

How can I tell you about a mistake or suggest a resource?

Use the contact page. We keep a record of corrections.

Can I use the resources offline?

Pages open online. There is a notice if you go offline, and in-progress practice is saved in your browser.

FMGE exam pattern

How many questions and what is the pass mark?

Sources agree on 300 multiple-choice questions in two parts of 150, and a pass mark of 150 out of 300. Confirm both in the official bulletin for your cycle.

Is there negative marking?

Sources we saw report none. Confirm in the bulletin, because a change would alter how you should guess.

How long is the exam?

Sources disagree. Some say two hours per part and others two and a half. One describes three timed sections of 50 questions per part, which we could not confirm, so plan for both and read the bulletin.

Is FMGE ranked like NEET PG?

No. It is a pass or fail screening for people with a foreign medical degree, while NEET PG is a ranked entrance. The preparation emphasis differs for that reason.

Do you have FMGE previous year papers?

No. NBEMS does not publish the paper or an official key, so papers online are reconstructed from memory and the board has warned against circulating recalls. Everything on NextPrep is original.

Does NextPrep have FMGE mocks?

Yes. FMGE mocks come in two parts of 150 questions, scored +1 for a correct answer with nothing lost for a wrong one, and a tracker adds the two parts and compares the total with the reported pass line of 150 of 300. That format is as reported by sources, so confirm it in the official bulletin. The questions are organised by the 20 subjects both exams draw on, each with reasoning for every option.

How should I pace the paper?

At 150 minutes for 150 questions you have about 60 seconds each, and at 120 minutes about 48. Practise at the faster pace and the slower one will feel generous.

How should I prepare for a pass line?

Cover every subject rather than only the heavy ones, review every option, sit a timed block each week and a full-length paper before the exam. Steady coverage matters more than brilliance in a few subjects.

Who is eligible for FMGE?

Eligibility rules are set by NBEMS and the NMC and can change. Read the current information bulletin and do not rely on our summary.

Is this page official?

No. NextPrep is independent. We could not open the bulletin when writing, so the figures come from public reporting and carry a last-checked date.

NEET PG exam pattern

How many questions are in NEET PG?

Reports on the 2026 information bulletin say 180 multiple-choice questions, reduced from 200. Confirm in the official NBEMS bulletin for your cycle, because the pattern can change.

What is the NEET PG marking scheme?

As widely reported for recent cycles: four marks for each correct answer, one mark deducted for each wrong answer, and no marks for unanswered questions. With 180 questions the maximum is 720.

Are NEET PG sections individually timed?

Sources disagree. Several describe five sections of 36 questions with a fixed time for each, while others say section timings had not been published. Check the bulletin and practise both ways.

Which language is the paper in?

Reports say English only, with four options and one best answer per question. Confirm in the bulletin.

Will NextPrep's tests match this pattern?

Roughly. Our grand mocks use up to 180 questions (fewer if the bank is too small for a full paper) and practice scoring of plus four and minus one, but they are NextPrep practice papers, and section timings are not copied from any real paper.

How should I practise for an uncertain section format?

Rehearse both an open paper and a sectioned one, practise leaving questions that cost more than their share of time, and sit full-length tests at the time of day of your exam.

Where is the confirmed information?

Only in the official NBEMS information bulletin and notices. Our pages show what is confirmed and what is disputed, with a last-checked date.

Do you have previous-year papers to show the real pattern?

No. NBEMS publishes no paper or key, and recalled papers are unofficial. We write original questions instead.

Creator programme

What do creators get beyond the affiliate programme?

A higher rate, a free 9-month term, early access to new content, an extra week for your audience on their first term, and a credit if you write or review content.

Do I have to say only good things about NextPrep?

No. Say what is true. Honest criticism of a tool you have used is more useful to your audience and to us.

Can I get early access before I apply?

Early access comes with acceptance. Apply on the partner programmes page.

What can I say about NextPrep?

That it explains why every option is right or wrong, that it is independent with original questions, that terms are fixed with no auto-renewal, that there is a free 20-question assessment, and that the content is awaiting independent expert review.

What must I not say?

No rank, score or selection promises, no user numbers, results or testimonials you cannot show, no claim of affiliation with an examination authority, and no use of recalled questions.

How do I disclose the partnership?

Plainly, near the link, in your content's language, for example that it is a partner link and you earn a share if people buy.

How does the link builder work?

Enter the code we confirm for you and it builds the link in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Who counts as a creator?

Someone who regularly makes public NEET PG content. Each application is reviewed individually, including past claims and disclosure habits.

Is the creator share paid already?

Payouts start when paid terms go on sale, and a sale becomes payable after the refund window. Check the partner terms for the exact rules.

What content tends to help my audience?

Walking through a question and why each option is right or wrong, showing how you plan a week around duty hours, sharing your own mistake notes, and comparing your pacing before and after practice.

Learner referrals

How does the referral reward work?

Your friend gets 1 extra week on their first term. You earn 3% of the sale value excluding GST, rising to 4% and then 5%, and you unlock free access: 3 months free at 3 friends who buy, 6 months free at 8, and early access to new features at 20.

How do I get a referral code?

Ask for one through the contact page, using the email you study with. We set up your code and a private dashboard key, usually by hand until online payments open.

Can I watch my referrals?

Yes. Your private dashboard shows visits through your link, sales, what you have earned, what is pending and what is payable, and which perks you have unlocked.

When do I get paid?

A sale becomes payable 14 days after purchase, so a refunded purchase never earns. Payouts are monthly by bank transfer once your balance reaches ₹1,000.

Are there limits?

One reward per new customer, no self-referral and no codes on coupon sites. The partner terms have the full rules.

I teach or make content. Is there something for me?

Yes, the affiliate and creator programmes pay a higher share and have bigger perks. See the partner programmes page.

Does the friend need to sign up to try NextPrep?

No. The free 20-question assessment takes about 25 minutes and needs no sign-up, so it is the easiest thing to send.

How will my referral be tracked?

Through a link or a code. A link is remembered in the visitor's browser for 30 days, and the buyer can also quote your code when they ask to buy. Clearing browser data or switching device can lose a link.

Press and brand

Can I use the logo in an article or video?

Yes, to refer to NextPrep. Use the files as supplied, keep clear space of one step height, and do not recolour, stretch or redraw them.

Who do I contact for an interview or a correction?

Use the contact page. We correct factual errors quickly and say so on the page.

Can I quote the questions?

Please link rather than copy. The questions are original and still awaiting independent expert review, so we would rather you point readers to the page.

How should I describe NextPrep?

As an independent NEET PG practice platform with original questions. Please do not call it official, NBEMS-approved or rank-guaranteeing.

Are there user numbers or testimonials I can cite?

No. We do not publish user numbers, ranks or testimonials because we have none to verify.

Who writes the content?

The NextPrep team. It is drafted with AI assistance and edited by the team, and independent faculty review is not yet complete.

Where is learner data stored?

On the learner's device today. Accounts are planned.

What are the brand colours and typeface?

The press page lists the colours, the single typeface and rules such as minimum logo size and clear space.

Should I say NextPrep has previous-year papers?

No. It has none. Please say original questions rather than previous-year papers.

Mnemonics in the app

Where do I find mnemonics in the app?

Under Mnemonics in the side menu, and alongside the revision tools. You can search and filter by subject.

Which mnemonics are open on the free plan?

The first 5. A paid term opens all of them.

What does each mnemonic show?

What every part stands for, its clinical use, and where it stops being reliable.

Is a mnemonic locked behind a plan?

Locks say what is included and where to get it. Nothing is hidden or blurred, and nothing you have already read is taken away.

Are mnemonics reviewed by experts?

Not yet. They are teaching aids written or adapted by our team with AI assistance, and each carries a status label. Check important facts against a standard source.

Can I bookmark a mnemonic or add a note?

Bookmarks and notes are for questions. To revise a mnemonic's content as a card, use the flashcard decks.

Can I use mnemonics for exceptions and mechanisms?

It is better not to. Use them for short lists and learn mechanisms by understanding them.

Is my reading history saved?

Your activity is stored in your browser. There are no cloud accounts yet, so it stays on this device.

Practice in the app

How do I start a practice set?

Open Practice, choose all, unseen, missed or bookmarked questions, pick a subject and topic if you like, choose 5, 10 or 20 questions, and start.

What is the difference between tutor and timed mode?

In tutor mode the explanation appears straight after you answer. In timed mode a countdown runs and explanations are shown when the set ends.

What is a quick set?

Five questions with no setup, with missed questions first and then unseen ones. It takes about three minutes and you can close the tab and resume later.

How many questions can I do on the free plan?

20 practice and quick-set questions a day. It resets at local midnight. The assessment and timed tests do not count, and explanations are always free.

What happens if I leave a set halfway?

Your place is saved on this device. Resume or discard it from the Practice screen.

How do missed questions come back?

Choose the missed filter, or start a quick set, which puts missed questions first. Mistakes also feed your flashcards and recommendations.

How do bookmarks and notes work?

Bookmark a question while practising and add a private note. The free plan keeps 10 bookmarks, and a paid term removes the limit. They are stored on your device.

How do I report a problem with a question?

Use Report a problem on the question. It flags the item on this device, and the contact page is how to tell us the details. Corrections are versioned.

Why does a question show an editorial status?

Editorial status makes the verification stage visible. Questions are original practice material and independent sign-off is shown only when it has been recorded for that item.

Timed tests in the app

What kinds of tests are there?

Subject tests, stage tests (pre-clinical, para-clinical and two clinical blocks) and full-syllabus grand mocks. They are NextPrep practice papers, not official ones.

Which tests are free?

The 3 subject tests for Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. Stage tests, FMGE and INI-CET mocks and grand mocks need a paid term, and longer terms open more grand mocks.

How is a test scored?

As practice, plus four for a correct answer, minus one for a wrong answer and zero if unanswered. The real exam's marking is set by the examination authority, so check their notices.

Does the timer stop if I close the page?

No. The timer keeps running, as it would in an exam. You can resume an attempt that is still open.

Can I change answers during a test?

Yes, until you submit. You can also clear a response and mark questions for review. After submitting you cannot change answers.

When do I see the explanations?

After submission, not during the test. The results screen has each question with the reasoning for every option and a subject-wise analysis.

How long is a grand mock?

Up to 180 questions across all 20 subjects, fewer if the bank is not yet large enough for a full paper. Mocks use different slices of the bank so they do not repeat each other.

Will the test predict my score in the real exam?

No. It describes your practice and is not a prediction.

Are my past test results kept?

Yes, on this device, under Tests. Clearing browser data erases them.

Performance and analytics

What does the performance screen show?

What you have practised, where you slip and what to do next, including activity over the last 14 days, subject accuracy and a recommended next action.

Why does it not label a subject as strong or weak at first?

Percentages are judged only once a subject has at least five attempts. Seven right out of ten is not the same as seventy out of a hundred, so the number of attempts is shown beside every figure.

Does it predict my rank?

No. It shows plain numbers with their sample sizes and makes no rank or score prediction.

What do I get on the free plan?

Overall accuracy and every subject. Paid terms add topics to watch and the questions you keep missing.

What counts as a repeated mistake?

A question you have missed more than once. If none qualifies, the screen says so.

How are timed results used?

Where tests were timed, the screen shows time per question, so you can see pace as well as accuracy.

Why is my page empty?

Answer a few questions and it fills in. The screen needs data from practice, tests or the assessment.

Where is the data kept?

In your browser on this device. Clearing site data erases it, and it does not sync across devices yet.

Can I compare myself with other learners?

No. There is no pool-based percentile, by choice, because without a large honest pool it would mislead.

Plan and billing

Where do I see my plan and receipts?

In the app under Plan and billing, reached from Settings. It shows your current plan, days left, a term progress bar and your payment history.

How do I buy or extend a term?

Choose a term on that screen and go through checkout. If a term is running, the new one starts when it ends, so no days are lost.

Is anything charged in preview mode?

No. In preview, checkout may grant a free preview pass and says so before you confirm. The receipt shows that no payment was taken.

What is in a receipt?

An invoice number, the term, the taxable value, 18% GST and the total. You can print it or save it as PDF. For now it is a receipt, not a full GST tax invoice.

What happens when my term ends?

You return to the free plan and your history stays on your device. The screen warns you when a term is within a week of ending.

Where are my receipts stored?

On your device, and for accounting in our payment provider's records. If you erase your data in Settings, a term and receipts on this device are erased too, so download a copy first.

Can I ask for a refund from here?

Use the contact page with your invoice number. Requests within 7 days of buying are judged under the refund policy.

Will my term follow me to another device?

Not yet. Terms are held on the device until accounts that sync arrive. Write to us if you need help with a purchase.

Which plan limits apply to me?

The pricing page compares every term. In short, longer terms add more grand mocks and, for 6 and 9 months, new tests released during the term.

Settings

What can I change in Settings?

Your first name, the daily question goal (10, 20, 40 or 60), appearance, and switches for daily motivation, haptics and sound effects.

How do I switch to dark mode?

Choose System, Light or Dark under Appearance. Dark mode applies on your next page load.

Are sounds on by default?

No. Sound effects are off by default, and haptics need a phone that supports them.

How do I download my data?

Use Download my data. It gives a JSON file of your activity on this device, such as attempts, bookmarks, notes, card schedule and test history, but not the questions themselves.

How do I delete my profile and data?

Choose delete, then type the confirmation word. It erases your profile, answers, schedule, notes, bookmarks and test history from this browser. It cannot be undone.

Does deleting also remove a term I bought?

On this device, yes. A purchased term stored here is erased too, so download your data first.

Is my data saved on a server?

Not today. Everything is stored in this browser only, so clearing browser data cannot be undone. Accounts that sync are planned.

Where do I manage cookies and storage?

Use Cookie settings in the footer of any public page. The cookie policy lists every item stored.

Does the daily goal limit me?

No. It only sets a target on your dashboard. The free plan has its own cap of 20 practice questions a day.

First-run setup

What is the welcome setup?

Four short questions after you create a profile: your aim (Medical PG, FMGE, Super Speciality, Residency or MBBS 1st Professional), your exam date, how many questions a day you can do, and up to five subjects you want most help with.

Do I have to answer them?

No. Every step can be skipped, and the exam date has an I am not sure yet option. You can change your aim later in Settings.

Why does it ask for my exam date?

To suggest how long a term you might need. It picks the shortest term that covers your weeks with a week to spare. It is only a suggestion, and you can decide later.

What daily goal should I choose?

Pick one you will keep. The options are 10, 20, 40 or 60 questions, which are roughly 15 to 90 minutes. A smaller goal you keep beats a large one you drop.

Can I change my answers later?

Yes. You can change your name and daily goal in Settings. The setup only sets your starting point.

What happens to my choices?

They are saved in your browser on this device, with the rest of your progress. They are not sent to us.

What is the card at the end?

An optional card marking the day you started, which you can share if you like. It is not required.

Does the setup start a payment?

No. It never asks for payment, and the free assessment and free plan stay open whatever you choose.

Signing in

Do I need a password?

No. NextPrep has no passwords. Sign-in is passwordless.

How do I sign in today?

Enter the email you used when you created your profile, and it reopens the profile stored in this browser. If no profile is on this device, you will be asked to create one.

Why does it say my email does not match?

Today your profile lives in the browser you created it in. The email must match the one saved there, and a different browser or device will not have it.

Can I sign in on another device?

Not yet. There are no cloud accounts, so progress does not sync. Accounts that sync across devices, with a link emailed to you, are planned.

What does Forgot password do?

There is nothing to reset. The forgot-password page finds the profile on this device and takes you back in. When accounts are on, it will email you a one-time sign-in link.

What happens if I clear my browser data?

Your profile and progress on this device are erased and cannot be recovered. Download your data in Settings before clearing anything you want to keep.

Do I have to sign up to use NextPrep?

No. The assessment and the public pages need no sign-up. A profile on this device saves your progress and settings.

Is my email sent anywhere when I create a profile?

No. It is stored in your browser with your profile. It reaches us only if you subscribe to the newsletter or write through the contact form.

Your dashboard

What is the ring on my home screen?

It shows how many practice questions you have answered today against your daily goal. When you reach the goal it says so, and anything more is a bonus. You can change the goal in Settings.

What counts towards the ring and the streak?

Questions you answer in practice and quick sets count as attempts. A streak is the number of days in a row on which you answered at least one question. If you have not practised yet today, yesterday's streak is still shown.

What does Recommended next mean?

It is one suggestion worked out from your own activity on this device. It goes in this order: flashcards due, then missed questions to retry, then a subject you are below 70% in once there are enough attempts, then questions you have not seen, then a timed test.

Is Recommended next a prediction or a study plan?

No. It is a simple rule that points to the cheapest useful next step. It does not predict a rank or score and it does not know your exam date.

What is the card that sometimes appears below the greeting?

A single prompt that shows when there is something worth saying, such as cards waiting, a streak to keep, setup to finish or the free assessment to take. Only one shows at a time, and each has a cool-down so it does not keep repeating.

What is the daily motivation line?

A short line under the greeting. It is on by default and you can switch it off in Settings under Daily motivation.

How do the Revision due, Study progress and Recent test tiles work?

Revision due adds your due cards to up to 10 new ones. Study progress shows overall accuracy with the number correct out of attempted, your streak and how many questions you have seen. Recent test shows the score of your latest timed test. Each tile opens its full screen.

How do I see the limits of the free plan?

On the free plan, the practice screen shows how many of your 20 daily questions are left, the flashcards screen says how many decks are open, and locked items say what a paid term includes. Your free assessment and explanations are never locked.

Why does my dashboard look empty?

The tiles fill in as you practise. With no attempts, accuracy shows a dash and the tests tile says no tests taken yet. Everything is stored in this browser, so a different browser or cleared site data starts from empty.

Where is the welcome setup?

If you skipped it, the prompt to finish setup appears on the dashboard. You can also open /welcome directly. You can change your name and daily goal in Settings at any time.

Does my dashboard sync across devices?

Not yet. Your progress is kept in the browser you use, and accounts that sync across devices are planned.

Flashcards in the app

What are the Review, Learn new cards and Cram modes?

Review is today's queue: cards due plus a small number of new ones. Learn new cards takes up to 20 cards you have not seen yet. Cram goes through a deck in shuffled order without touching your schedule.

Does Cram change my schedule?

No. In Cram mode ratings are not saved to the schedule and the screen says so. It is useful for a quick pass the night before without disturbing intervals you have built.

How do I turn the card over?

Tap the card, press space or Enter, or use the Show answer button.

How do I rate a card?

After the answer shows, tap Again, Hard, Good or Easy, which also shows the time until the card returns. On a touch screen you can swipe left for Again, right for Good and up for Easy. On a keyboard use keys 1 to 4.

What does each rating do?

Again brings the card back in about ten minutes and may show it once more this session. Hard brings it back sooner than Good, and Easy pushes it furthest. The buttons show the next interval for that card before you choose.

Can I undo a rating?

Yes. Use the Undo button, or press Z or Backspace. It restores the card's earlier schedule, though in Cram mode there was no schedule change to undo.

How many new cards do I get a day?

Up to 10 new cards a day in the main Review, so that reviews do not pile up. When you review a single subject's deck the session can include up to 20 cards.

What happens at the end of a session?

A summary shows how many cards you did, how long it took and the count for each rating. You can go back to the decks, or go again on the cards you rated Again or Hard.

How do I change haptics and sound?

In Settings, switch Haptics and Sound effects on or off. Haptics give a light tap on phones that support it when you flip a card or answer, and sounds are off by default.

Which decks are free?

Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry on the free plan. Other decks show a lock and open with any paid term. Cards you have already learned stay on your device.

Help Center

Where do I start if I am new?

Take the free 20-question assessment, then follow the first step it suggests. If you would rather look around first, the features page shows what is inside and the study plans page matches a plan to the weeks you have.

How do I find an answer quickly?

Use the search box at the top of the Help Center. It looks through every question we have answered, across practice, tests, flashcards, plans, billing and your data.

Something in a question looks wrong. What do I do?

Use Report a problem under the question. It flags the item on this device and the contact page lets you write to us with the details. Mistakes are treated as bugs.

Can I use NextPrep on my phone?

Yes. NextPrep is built for phones first, with a bottom tab bar, and it also works on tablets and laptops. Nothing needs installing.

My progress has disappeared. Can you get it back?

Progress lives in this browser. If site data was cleared or you changed device, it cannot be restored from our side yet. Download your data from Settings now and then as a backup.

How do I contact a human?

Use the contact page. Pick the topic closest to your problem so it reaches the right person. We reply in a few working days.

Where do I check if the site is having problems?

The status page runs a live check from your browser and lists the parts of NextPrep. If it says everything works and you still have a problem, tell us.

Is there a help article for payments and refunds?

Yes, see Plans and billing in the Help Center. The refund policy has the exact rules and the contact page handles any case that is not covered.

Who can I ask about the NEET PG exam itself?

NextPrep is independent and cannot speak for the examination authorities. For the exam, eligibility, dates and counselling, always check the official NBEMS, NMC and counselling notices.

Support

How do I get support?

Use the contact page and choose the topic that fits. Include what you were doing, the device and browser, and a screenshot if you can. That lets us help in one reply.

Do you offer phone or chat support?

Not at the moment. Support is by the contact form so that every case is written down and nothing gets lost.

What should I include in a bug report?

The page address, what you expected, what happened, your device and browser, and the steps to repeat it. A screenshot helps a lot.

What if I was charged but my term did not start?

Choose the topic A payment or refund, and include the payment reference from your receipt or bank message. Keep the reference safe. We will check it against the payment record.

How do I ask for a refund?

The refund policy lists when a refund applies and how long it takes. Write through the contact page with your payment reference and we will respond with a decision and the reason.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open Settings and use Delete my profile and data. It removes what NextPrep keeps on this device. For anything we hold elsewhere, such as a newsletter address, write to us and we will remove it.

What if I find a security problem?

Please use the contact page with the topic A security concern, and read the security page first for how to report it responsibly.

How do I make a complaint?

Choose A complaint or grievance on the contact page. The grievance page explains what happens next and how to escalate.

Can you help me choose a plan?

We can explain what each term includes, but we cannot tell you how many weeks you will need. The recommendation on the welcome screen and the study plans give a sensible starting point.

Status

What does the status page show?

A live check, run from your browser, that the NextPrep service responds, plus a list of the parts of the product and what each depends on. It reports what it can measure and nothing more.

Does it show uptime percentages?

No. We do not have independent monitoring yet, so we do not publish uptime figures we cannot back up. When monitoring is in place, history will appear here.

What if the check passes but something is broken for me?

Tell us through the contact page with the page address and your browser. Some problems only affect certain devices or networks.

Why does the page say offline?

Your device may have lost its connection. Practice and flashcards you have already opened keep working, and they sync nothing, so you will not lose progress.

Will I lose progress if the site is down?

Progress is saved in your browser, not on our servers, so an outage on our side does not erase it.

How do you announce planned maintenance?

Notices will be posted on this page and, where it matters, in the app. There is no maintenance scheduled right now.

Where do incidents get recorded?

On this page, newest first, with what happened, who was affected and what we changed. There are none recorded yet.

Are payments covered by this page?

Payments run on our payment provider's systems. If checkout fails, check your bank and the provider's own status, then write to us with the payment reference.

Security

Where is my data stored?

Your progress is stored in your own browser. Newsletter and contact details go to our email and form providers. Card details go to the payment provider and never to us.

Do you store my card details?

No. Payments are handled by Razorpay. We keep only a receipt: term, amount, order and payment references and the time.

Is NextPrep encrypted?

The site is served over HTTPS by our host, which protects data in transit. Data on your device is as safe as your device is.

Has NextPrep had a security audit?

Not yet. We have not had an independent penetration test and we do not claim one. This is listed as a gap on the security page.

How do I report a vulnerability?

Use the contact page with the topic A security concern. Describe what you found and how to reproduce it, and please do not access other people's data.

Do you pay bug bounties?

No. We do thank good-faith reporters and we do not pursue people who follow the rules on the security page.

Could someone get paid access without paying?

Because entitlements are enforced in the browser today, a determined person could. This is a product boundary, not a security one, and it is why server-side accounts and enforcement are the next engineering step.

What should I do on a shared computer?

Use Settings, then Delete my profile and data, when you finish, or use a private browsing window.

Will you ever ask me for my password or card number?

No. NextPrep has no passwords, and we never ask for card numbers by message or email.

Legal and policies

Where are the terms and privacy policy?

They are linked from this page and from the footer on every page: Terms of use, Privacy policy, Cookie policy, Refund policy, Disclaimer, Acceptable use, Accessibility, Security and Grievance.

Are these documents final?

They are working drafts for the current prototype and are marked so. A lawyer should review them before public launch, and the dates at the top show when each last changed.

Who runs NextPrep?

A founding team building an independent platform. The legal entity, registered address and grievance officer will be published here before launch.

Is NextPrep affiliated with NBEMS, NMC or any exam authority?

No. NextPrep is independent. The disclaimer page says this plainly, and exam details always point back to official notices.

Do you use leaked or recalled exam questions?

No. Our questions are original and the policy on past papers explains why we do not republish recalled papers.

How do I ask what data you hold about me?

Write through the contact page with the topic Privacy or my data. The privacy policy lists what we hold and your choices.

Which law applies?

The terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts that will hear disputes are to be published in our contact details before launch, and the terms are drafts until a lawyer has reviewed them.

How will I know if the terms change?

The date at the top changes, and where a change matters we will tell you on the site.

Quick practice

What is quick practice?

A five-question set that starts with one button and no setup. You answer, read the reason for every option, and see your score for the set.

How long does it take?

About five minutes for five questions, depending on how closely you read the explanations. There is no timer.

How are the questions chosen?

NextPrep picks questions you have not seen yet and, once it knows your attempts, leans toward subjects where you are weaker. It uses the attempts stored on this device.

Does it count toward my free daily limit?

Yes. On the free plan, practice and quick-set questions share a limit of 20 a day. Paid terms have no daily limit.

Does it keep my streak going?

Yes. Answering questions on a day counts toward your streak, and five questions is enough.

Can I stop halfway and come back?

Yes. Your place is saved on this device, and the dashboard offers to resume where you stopped.

Can I choose a subject?

Quick practice is deliberately choice-free. For a subject or topic, use the practice screen, where you can filter by subject, unseen, missed or bookmarked questions.

Are explanations free?

Yes. Every explanation, with the reason for each option, is free for everyone.

Can I report a wrong question?

Yes. Use Report a problem under any question, and tell us more through the contact page if you want a reply.

Timed tests

What kinds of timed test are there?

Subject tests for one subject, stage tests covering a stage of the syllabus, grand mocks that mix all 20 subjects at paper length, and FMGE-style and INI-CET-style mock series. All are NextPrep practice papers.

How are tests marked?

Practice marking gives +4 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong one. It is a practice scheme, not an estimate of an examination score or rank. Check the official notice for the real scheme.

What does the question palette show?

Which questions are answered, not answered, marked for review and not visited, so you can move around and plan your last minutes.

What happens when time runs out?

The test submits automatically and you go to your report.

What does End test do?

It lets you submit and see your report, leave without scoring, or keep working. It is there so you are never stuck on a phone with only a Submit button.

How many grand mocks does each term include?

Grand mocks open as follows: 1 with 6 weeks, 2 with 3 months, and all of them with 6 months or 9 months. 6 and 9 months also include tests released during the term.

Can I review my answers afterwards?

Yes. Your report breaks the paper down by subject and every question opens with the explanation for each option.

Will a mock predict my real score?

No. Mocks are built from original NextPrep questions and cannot predict what will appear or how you will score.

Performance

What does the performance page show?

Overall accuracy, accuracy by subject, your streak, how far you have got through the question bank, and a recommended next step.

Why does it show the number of attempts?

A percentage means little without the number behind it. Ninety percent on five questions says very little, so we always show both.

When does it call a subject strong or weak?

Only once there are enough attempts to say something. Until then it says there is not enough data.

What is in topic detail and repeated mistakes?

On a paid term you see accuracy by topic and the questions you keep getting wrong, which is where marks usually leak.

Is there a rank or percentile?

No. NextPrep does not have a pool of test-takers to compare you with honestly, and we would rather show nothing than something misleading.

How does the recommendation work?

In order: flashcards due, a pile of missed questions, a subject below the threshold once it has enough attempts, unseen questions, then a timed test.

Does accuracy here predict my exam score?

No. It describes your performance on NextPrep questions and nothing more.

The learning loop

What is the learning loop?

A repeating cycle of assess, practise, revise, test and analyse. Each part of NextPrep feeds the next, so you always know what to do.

Where do I start?

The free 20-question assessment. It takes about 25 minutes, needs no sign-up, and gives you a report and a first step.

How do flashcards fit in?

Questions you miss can become cards, and spaced repetition brings them back just before you would forget them.

When should I take a mock?

After a few weeks of practice and revision. Start with a subject test, then a stage test, then grand mocks as the exam approaches.

How often should I go round the loop?

Daily in small pieces, weekly for a longer review. A short regular habit beats long irregular sessions.

What if I only have 15 minutes?

Review the flashcards due today, then answer five quick questions. That is a complete small loop.

Is the loop a guarantee?

No. It helps you spend time on the right things. It cannot do the studying for you.

Does it replace textbooks or teachers?

No. NextPrep is a practice and revision layer that works alongside them.

Content quality

Have the questions been reviewed by experts?

Not independently yet. Each item is marked as awaiting independent expert review, and we do not claim otherwise. Naming reviewers is on our launch checklist.

Why explain every option?

Because a wrong answer should teach you something. Knowing why each distractor is wrong is often more useful than knowing the key.

Do you use previous-year or leaked questions?

No. We do not use recalled or leaked questions, and we do not republish past papers without permission.

What if I think a question is wrong?

Use Report a problem under it. We check it, correct or remove it, and the version changes.

How many questions are there?

The number changes as we add questions, so we do not print one here that would go out of date. Each subject page on the questions section shows the live count for that subject, and the bank is still growing.

How do you keep questions accurate over time?

Items are versioned. Guidelines change, so we avoid basing questions on numbers that change often and we revise items when they date.

Can I trust NextPrep for the exam?

Treat it as practice and revision, and check anything that matters against a standard textbook and the official notices.
