1.Who is responsible
NextPrep is our legal name and we are responsible for the data described on this page. Reach us through the contact page.
2.The short version
Your study progress lives in your own browser, not on our servers. We don't ask for passwords, and payment details go straight to our payment provider and never to us, we don't run advertising trackers, and we don't sell or rent data. The only information that reaches us is what you choose to send: an email address for the newsletter, or a message through the contact form.
3.What we handle today
NextPrep has no accounts. When live payments are switched on, purchases are handled by Razorpay and we keep only the receipt details listed below.
- A partner code: if you arrive through a partner link, we store only that code, an optional campaign tag and the time in your browser for 30 days, so a later purchase can credit the partner. The first visit also adds one to that partner's visit count on our server, with no name, address or other identifier. It holds no personal data and you can clear it with your browser data.
- Study data on your device: answers, flashcard schedules, bookmarks, notes, test results, your first name and email if you created a profile, and your settings. This is stored in your browser's local storage and is not sent to us.
- Newsletter email address, if you subscribe. We store it so we can write to you.
- Contact messages: your name, email and message, if you use the contact form.
- Purchase records, if you buy a term: the term, amount, date, invoice number and payment id, kept on your device and, for accounting, in our payment provider's records. We never receive your card, UPI or bank details.
- Technical logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
4.What we don't collect
We don't collect passwords, card or bank details, government identity numbers, your location, or advertising identifiers. We don't build profiles to target advertising, and we don't use your study data to make decisions about you.
5.How we use what we receive
We use a newsletter address only to send the updates you asked for. We use a contact message only to reply to you. We use hosting logs only to keep the service secure and working. If we add accounts, sync or analytics in future, we will update this page and ask first where the law requires it, before any of that data is collected.
6.Where it is kept and for how long
Data on your device stays there until you erase it (Settings, then Delete my profile and data) or clear your browser's site data. Newsletter and contact details are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until they are no longer needed for the purpose you gave them. Hosting logs are kept for the period set by the provider.
8.Your choices and rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. We aim to respect the rights available to you under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. To make a request, use the contact page.
9.Children
NextPrep is intended for medical graduates preparing for postgraduate entrance, who are adults. It is not directed at children.
10.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you on the site.
11.Contact
Questions or requests about your data can be sent through the contact page.
